Randon question.
I had rescued a Rose of Sharon several years ago (2012 or earlier) when someone cleaned a yard and did an illegal dump. This turned out to be a double-flower type, light purple color. A few years later I found that one had reseeded so I potted it up and hoped for the best. I did not take notes or keep any records.

Has anyone purposely grown Hibiscus sinosyriacus from seed? And if so, how many years from seed to flower?

I have not yet pruned this plant as I am just trying to see what it does on its own.
It would appear that it's ready to show me a flower this year. :cross_finger:

I got flowers the year after planting seed, so two years from seed to flower, rarely the same year seed is planted. The offspring might look different than the parent or the same.
