Hello to all. This plant has been in my family's gardens I'm told for about 75 years. I am 58 and the youngest. There are 6 of us but only 3 that kept our moms green thumb. Attached is a photo of a mound growing perennial that does not spread. We would love to know the name of this species.

It looks like a hardy geranium, like Geranium sanguineum:
