Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Indian Ripple')

A showy cultivar that has the vigor so typical of Doughertys. It seems a bit shorter here than 24 inches. Attracts attention in the later garden (not really late, though). It takes a very good picture, so, at least in my garden, is not quite so vivid as in many photos. Bud count probably about 8-10. Branching is not a strength.

I would agree with MANTIS about its vigor and bud count. It has consistently rebloomed for me over the past three years. It is usually 22 to 24 inches tall. I have mine in full sun all day, which probably helps in reaching its registered height. I will forgive the lack of branching and bud count because of the rebloom. It will throw a poly bloom once in a while.

It is beautiful and a good grower and bloomer.It is a little short but I will always have a spot for this one.

An eye catcher in the garden. I draws your eye right to it. For that reason I love it. Not as tall as registered here. It did rebloom for me last year. Clumped up nicely its second year (2017).

I agree with everyone else here; it's not real tall but there is always a place on the outside of the garden for shorter DL's. And Indian Ripple, in spite of its shortness, is always noticed. It's a welcome splash of color later in the bloom season. I made a cross last summer: Autumn Wood X Indian Ripple. Hopefully in a couple years I'll be able to update this with that bloom pic from that cross.

Indian Ripple is eye candy for the late front row of the garden. Does well here. Never measured but I am sure it is less than twenty four inches. Reblooms at times. I get an occasional poly also.

Less than 24 inches here too. Beautiful bloom. Excellent multiplier.

Looks like I am the only one to not have this daylily survive in my garden over winter the year it was planted. I didn't try it again as my rule is they get one go here not to be replaced.
