I have two sorrels, Rumex sanguineus, commonly known as bloody dock with reddish arrow shapes leaves; and what I believe to be Rumex scutatus, commonly known as French sorrel. In the database are 3 photos of R. scutatus which are quite different than my plant - the leaves shown are arrow shaped, whereas mine are a definite shield shape. I *think* perhaps the 3 photos under S. scutatus might be R. acetosa, garden sorrel. I unfortunately do not have a good photo of my French sorrel and it is looking pretty scrappy at the moment so not a good time for photo op. I've looked online and the images of R. scutatus appear to be in line with the plant I have -- whereas the ones in our database look more like R. acetosa.
The photos in question were submitted by

@pphanfx -- perhaps they can shed some light on this.
I am simply wanting to add the proper plant to my personal list and find myself confused. Some sites seem to use the term garden sorrel and French sorrel interchangeably, others clarify by using the term true French sorrel (I guess as opposed to fake French sorrel...?)
Thanks for any help resolving my confusion.
