I got this pic at the Botanical Gardens in Athens, Ga and found the tech name a pic on Google but don't know how to do add to the database.

I'm happy to help you add this photo to the database. Orchids tend to be a bit more complicated due to the way they are named.

I'd just like to clarify the name, if I may - am I correct in understanding that you found the name online in a Google Image Search? My concern here is that the last part of the name - the clonal name - may be incorrect, as various clones can look similar. Otherwise, I am inclined to agree with the genus and grex part of the name - Miltassia Charles M Fitch.

Update: Found that this has changed genera. It's now Bratonia Charles M. Fitch.

Welcome to the orchid world! We can't keep up with the name changes...nor can the vendors.

Thanks George @dawiz1753 - that photo of the tag is very useful. You did correctly identify it, then - the genus name has just changed, that's all.

So it's now Bratonia Charles M. Fitch 'Izumi'. This particular clone isn't in the database yet, so I'll add it shortly.

If you click on the photo you posted at the start of this thread, it will open a larger view. In the middle at the bottom will be an icon that looks like a cylinder composed of disks stacked on top of each other. You can click that to start the process to add the photo to the database.

The new entry may take up to an hour to show up in the search, so if need be you can search using the plant ID number 746583, which will take you straight to the entry I've just created.
