I read your article about eradicating the "weed." But I have to bring up a great fact about this plant. It is absolutely delicious. As a matter of fact it is our very favorite green to eat.
Prepared steamed like spinach the leaves are tender, flavorful and melt in your mouth. We harvest this wild growing "weed" and freeze quarts an quarts of the stuff to enjoy all year. When harvesting, we cut the plant down to about 2-3 inches and it will grow back again with another set of fresh leaves to harvest. This can be done three to four times until the leaves just seem to get large enough to use.
