I think it's an agave plant but it truly looked like little shop of horrors 😄

It is Faucaria tuberculosa, it does look like it has fangs Big Grin Big Grin but it makes lovely daisy-like yellow blooms during Fall here in my garden. Lovey dubby

@tarev If you remove offsets can a single plant be kept alive, and do they stay small? Thank you for the ID!

Yup, you can easily remove the offsets, they grow attached like in a thick stolon, so just snip it off. I just wait for it to be half as big or as big as mommy plant before I remove them.

I took a photo of one of them, so you can see it: that thick curving neck there, you can cut it off, allow to callus, you can also dab some light cinnamon on the cut ends as fungicide then plant it. I like to do my planting in mid to late Spring.
