Hello I'm wondering what this lovely bush is, a friend has several in his yard. Leaves look similar to a rhododendron.

It is a Daphne sp.
Either Daphne pontica or Daphne laureola.
Flowers will have a lovely scent.
Sorry I have never managed to tell one from the other!
