I have discovered some beetles on my St Johns wort

I grow the plant in the herb garden , and have no problem with it spreading elsewhere (cut the seed heads)

I don't use it myself but use it for educational purposes.(herb talks)

This is the first time seeing the Chrysolina hyperici (beetle)
Reading I believe they were a non native beetle imported to control the plant.

My ???Question is : should I remove the beetles? O just let them be??

Open to any and all responses.

Looks like japanese beetles... They eat leaves of a number of plants.
One remedy is to knock them off plant into a bucket of sudzy water...

Or just collect and give to chickens...

You probably do not want to let them skeletonize your shrubs.

Thanks
I have decided to remove the ones I am seeing
I know I wont get them all , but may minimize the damage enough to save the plant.

Yup... that's also my attitude and approach.
