Thread OP

I have to leave this swap, I just don't have any wishes left this year. It wouldn't make sense to spend 24 bucks, for the 4 varieties on my wishlist. But I am aware that a lot of you wishlisted my seeds, so please take a minute down below here and list what you would like and I will mail them either directly to you, or to Stitchwitch. I'll give everyone a couple of days and then leave the swap.
Thanks,
Andrea

PS: if you want to trade I am looking for hardy perennials, zone 4.

Hi Andrea,

Wrote a Treemail offering to swap directly when this is over if I have any you want.

It's a generous offer but I don't think you should feel obliged to give away the seeds you offered for the swap. It seems to me the these swaps are intended to be mutually beneficial. It's not your fault that nothing has showed up that would be of sufficient benefit to you for the cost. I hope we can all feel free to do the same when that happens. So far I'm experiencing seed greed beyond my swap possibilities 😂 Next fall I hope to have a better balance when I've had a chance to collect from my garden.

Pat, trades are really not necessary. I have too much, it's going to go to waste. Stitchwitch are you okay with me staying in, but not dibbing, so I can send mine out without getting anything back? I really have no use for them. And I can see their wishlisted, but can't see who wants them.

Andrea, I can understand wanting the seeds to have homes if you really don't want them now. Offering them is still generous 👍🏻

But you did say you had 4 "wants". If any were mine I'd send them when it's over if they're not taken by someone else who's actively participating.

Obviously, this is up to Stitchwitch, but here's my 2 cents worth - I have seen it done before, by someone who needed to find homes for seeds, and didn't really need any more for themselves. It seemed to work out fine.

@Maulwurf you are free to stay and not bid. Totally up to you. Please dont feel obligated to stay in. There are tons of seeds available in the swap. The choice is yours and I am ok with whatever you choose to do.

I've seen it done before too and it's a great idea for people that have more seeds than they can use... which I personally do have and have considered doing the same. Rolling my eyes. But I know me well enough to know that I'll find seeds I want!! That's just how it is! Hilarious!

Thank you, Maulwurf, for offering to find a home for your seeds. Thank You!

@Maulwurf, since you are considering staying in, I re-wishlisted those that I removed, and even found one more. *Blush*

Rolling on the floor laughing I can see which way this is going! Better bump up the stars on my @maulwurf wishes.

It's ok. 👍🏻All part of the fun.

This gave me the idea of offering some of mine that are more common and probably less desirable, just so they might find homes at the end when people can claim lots. For future reference probably. I still have some seeds to add that I hope will be wanted.

I'd better get busy! Only 3 days...

Pat
