I had vowed to not buy any daylilies this Fall. And I've been good...until just a couple of days ago. I have been shopping on-line for peonies and/or new perennials. Well, Gilbert Wild not only had a couple of peonies I wanted at reasonable prices, but also a BOGO for Elegant Candy ($6.50 if anyone is interested), a good price for Exotic Candy ($6.50), Funny Valentine, and Blackthorne. Since adding those to the order didn't change the shipping price I thought "What the heck" and added them. Then I went to Homestead Farms Nursery for peonies and same thing happened. They have a flat rate for shipping, so I added Double Pardon Me, Dewberry Candy, and Blackberry Candy to that order. I am sooooooo weak!

Please let us know what new lovelies are coming to your gardens this Fall.

hahaha, Donna--I knew someone would start this thread any time now, and it sounds as if you found some bargains! Hope your new daylilies do well and that you have better luck this year than last.

I just placed my fall order with Brian Reeder. I have been looking at his FB page this summer, and he posts pictures his customers send him, so I could see a lot of his plants growing in different conditions. (He even posted some of mine. :smily:) Anyway, I made some choices I hadn't previously considered. Here is what I am getting:

Heart of the Quasar
Little Dragon on the Prairie

I am also ordering Kaskel Tweety Bird and Kaskel Super Red from Linda Pinkham.

Cheryl Day and I been communicating over the past year about when she can send some plants. (These are older cultivars, supposedly very rust-resistant, some of which have been hard to find.) We have agreed on this fall for delivery. Here's what I'm getting from her:

I know I don't really need to order anything. But I have decided I need more white daylilies. Have been looking on different websites for some of those.

Yes, she is going out of business. I think mine may be her last order.

I ordered from Cheryl last year and those plants did very well this year. The ones I ordered from her this year are taking their time, but should be great next year. I have decided though that plants I have backordered from Ron Reimer will be the last plants I buy- and I'm not positive that I need those! This is one hobby that has gotten majorly out of control, but I have decided that growing seedlings is much more rewarding.

Alma, I do have a few white ones that I no longer wish to grow if you are interested. I also have a bunch of seedling peonies that are mostly single jap type if you want any. Let me know.
