It's taking space and water away from my forsythias.
I thought I saw it here and remembered the advice was don't cut it or it would go wild but I can't find that thread. Then again, I could be wrong!

I've never seen those boom, though the forsythia that isn't pictured there does. (Maybe it needs more sun?) Here's another photo of the "bush" I don't know if any different cultivars of forsythia are mixed in.

I'm still not sure what this plant is. It has never bloomed and there are some forsythias mixed into the photo.
My concern is that it's one of those invasive trees that folks say is impossible to control.
