Are you sure this is Meerlo? It has a distinct serrated edges to the leaves and gold margins as shown by the other images.

On a related issue, is the database name correct? Sunset have 'Meerlo' as Lavandula x allardii

Thank you Zuzu. I once read in a book by a long-time grower that Lavandula is one of the most commonly misidentified and confused genera. Having just spent nearly an hour reading conflicting accounts of the genesis of this one hybrid, L x heterophylla aka allardii, I believe it.

I've attached a photo I took of the original Meerlo potted plant before I transplanted it back in 2016. It got a little bigger in ground but didn't survive the winter alas. The picture you @Calif_Sue referenced may actually be of Platinum Blonde, not Meerlo. I made the mistake of putting two lavenders in the same place back to back only to have both perish.
