I believe this plant may be misidentified and may actually be a hybrid called 'Donnie' (among other names). @Djinnrickey has proposed moving this image to the other entry. Here are the two plants in question

Aloe Retro Gang™ Donnie

I would be happy to move this change along, unless @BlueOddish disagrees. I'm pretty sure the original ID is wrong, just based solely on differences in surface texture. If 'Donnie' is not a perfect match, we can move the image to the genus entry instead. Just say the word.

From the distance in the pic , I would of said Donnie as well .

I'm not sure if Altman grows 'Donnie' and I would imagine the possibility of it being 'Donnie' would be eliminated if they don't grow it. If they do grow it, it's almost certainly under the name 'Bright Star'. I haven't checked, but they do have a database of plants they currently grow and have grown in the past on their website but I have no idea just how complete that list is.

I agree that it looks more like 'Donnie' than it does 'Oik'.
