@DogsNDaylilies

I was looking at recent events this morning and noticed a couple of things that look strange so thought I would bring it up now jus in case Dave needs to look at it.

Some of the entries are showing up more than once. The most current where Kathy entered chyrsanthemums and it shows 4 entries, although only one has stars. Also I noticed deleted items only say "Removed an item" but doesn't say what the item is.

Like I said, I just thought I would bring it up now rather than it be a problem AFTER the swap starts. It's coming soon! Smiling It might not be anything at all to worry about, I don't know but I've never noticed the system working like that before.

I noticed these as well. My entries could be screwed up because I think as I was trying to add them, my internet was bad apparently, so I kept trying to add until it went through. I just assumed the system would only take it once, especially since it never looked like it wouldn't go all the way through.

I saw that happen a couple times when I was listing. To make sure everything looked okay, I went to the access full trade list link and then isolated only my list to double check there was only one listing there.

Okay, so that explains it a little better. Thumbs up Smiling

I guess it could be a problem if the ticker for how many seed packs that DND will look at - to determine how many dibs we each get if affected.

As I managed my swap list, these are the steps I took as I noticed the glitch:
1. Entered name of item
2. Hit return key (this action added item to my swap list, but did not add entry to the recent events list)
3. Deleted same item from my swap list (this action added a "removed" entry to the recent events list, item unknown)

Maybe this helps, in case our beloved webmaster has to look into this.

Hello, all,

I'm so sorry for the pages and pages of removed items last night. I never had the green check turned on for these. I was simply deleting items with 0 quantity left from old swaps, never listed for this swap. I don't recall that action registering in the recent events beforeā€¦

Anyways I've gotten rid of all my empty slots so you shouldn't see that happen on such a large scale again.

Oh I've noticed that's happened to me when I've deleted ones I don't have anymore, even tho I didn't have them listed on this swap too. We can just scroll on by removed items.

Me too. Between driving people to 11 medical/dental appointments in 3 weeks, and the final garden harvest before the first freeze, the seeds got shoved to the back burner. *Blush*

We still have a bit before the swap starts, so no worries if you don't have your seeds in yet! If it makes you feel any better, I don't have mine in yet, either. Rolling my eyes. (We've been doing some house remodeling projects and prepping for a birthday, among other things.) Definitely don't wait until the last day to put them in, but as long as you start entering them soon, you should be good. Smiling

I spent a few days at Seminole Casino in Tampa last week (friend has a "player card" and gets free visits all the time. got myself a players card got nothing yet). I was there to help my true blue friend Terri move from Tampa to my guest room (my future fiberart studio, or that was the plan, whatever). She stays in Florida over the summer and up north in her home state during the winter. I may head up with her to help her plant more wildlife friendly plants in her summer home. She has taken up wildlife photography since she retired.

She is helping me with some home repair/dec projects I needed help with. We are sore and exhausted. I have been keeping my swap seeds in a box in paper bags with scribbled sharpie labels - need to get them in individual zippies. Also need to formally id a couple palms - including the one with the white seeds, the one with the huge seeds, etc. Have seed collection pictures and gps coordinates of the plant if I get really confused....

I was getting ready to try a few tomato seeds again, then the news guys started talking about Ian. They predicted it be potentially disastrous for the Tampa area but no major impact in Delray Beach. Well.... did you see the photos on the news with the condo development in Florida where a tornado caused by Ian ripped the roof off? Guess where I live. Not in the roofless building but within walking distance (on a good day if it isn't too hot if we ever get a day like that again after the hottest summer in recent memory...). I am fine, my home is fine, my plants are fine - thank God. The tornado knocked out power at about 10pm but Florida Power and Light had power back by around 10 am. I spent the night naked covered with strategically placed ice packs unable to sleep unaware of the wreckage nearby until the next day. Thank goodness my window didn't blow in like so many others nearby. I would have been very embarrassed.

I didn't put up enough water. The water was brown. Pipes nearby had broken. Water kept flowing, but I was afraid to drink it until a few days after the pipework seemed finished. I boiled and filtered drinking water a few days after it was "safe" for good measure. I ALWAYS filter drinking water. I have a small filter at the tap then I fill an ultra filtered pitcher. It still doesn't taste like the spring water I grew up in. (Mountain spring water tastes better than processed Florida swamp water. Quelle surprise.)

I just got home from the dentist. (Message was half written, one of those days). I went to whole foods next to the dentist. They sell Botanical Interest seeds! I couldn't check them out because my friend who drove me was on a mission for dinner. Few real life friends appreciate my gardening enthusiasm. I have become a stealth seed gatherer, and must refrain in certain company.

@GardenQuilts Andi, I'm so glad you're okay! (And that your windows didn't break in.) I'd be a bit traumatized if I was so close to the wreckage like that. Sending hugs!
