People in my other thread may have ID'd this one as it was in the background of another plant I am asking about. I have attached a couple of images that better show the plant. Anyone know what it is?

Guess I should probably get rid of this in case the pets decide to feast on it.

I think I did identify it as black nightshade previously.
I would not keep it around if you have pets or children in the house.

That wasn't actually my point...
I was arguing the supposed poisonous aspect.... As you will discover when you read the link to "eat the weeds".

I have cats, they eat the cherry tomatoes, but I haven't observed them to take interest in the nightshade berries... But... I think the songbirds eat them.

Maybe check this article about the differences between black nightshade vs deadly nightshade (where the author does state that birds eat the berries):

If I had just one black nightshade plant, I'd leave it be.
If I had a patch of black nightshade, I'd probably thin them...

They're not bad plants...
At my house, I keep some around as host plants for hawk moths.

That's a good pic! It looks like they enjoy 4'o'clock nectar. I'm not seeing buds on those yet in my yard. Is that pic from a previous year?

FWIW, my 4 o'clocks just started last week. I used to have various colors, but now just the magenta/fuchsia colored ones persist... those white ones would be perfect for a Moon Garden.
