Hi! I have a new Rhaphidophora decursiva in a very small pot. Please ignore the fact that it is very thirsty. I plan to repot today and give it a drink. I will add a photo of the roots. The vine is heavy, so for me, I would think that a terracotta pot would be ideal. However, I've never had this plant before. I'm wondering if the terracotta will dry the plant out too fast? As it is now, in this pot currently, it is already drying out too fast. What type of pot and what size do you suggest? I would also love any tips for this plant, please! Thank you so much.

It does indeed look like it needs a larger pot. It's likely been drying out quickly because there isn't much soil left in the pot, only roots. Terra cotta type pots dry out rather quickly so you will likely have to water more often than if it were in a plastic nursery pot. Here's the link to the plant in our database with growing information and other member photos. Creeping Philodendron (Rhaphidophora decursiva)
