Its color is beautiful! Is it sunfast and heatfast? Does it rebloom?

Jackky, if it is black, heatfast, and sunfast, it is a winner in my book. Hard to find a black daylily that is heatfast. I have Spacecoast Back to Black which is very dark but pretty much melts in the sun and heat. It looks terrible by noon though it is quite colorfast.

I have to admit, I like that finer, thin light edge on a darker daylily like that. I find it very elegant.

I agree with Tim. On the dark ones a fine white edge seems more elegant to me...... Jack I like your daylily very much. There is such a thing as colorfast versus sunfast in my book. America's Most Wanted for instance is sunfast, in as much as the petals don't lose substance as the day heats up, but the color bleaches out from yellow to white making it not colorfast. If your luscious hybrid holds color and substance it definitely could be a winner. How winter hardy is it?...............Maryl

Hi Mary,
Well, as far as winter hardy, I'm in Kentucky zone 6 so I know it's good here.

Sounding better and better. Personally I don't rely too much on the rebloom designation since only a hand full of my daylilies listed as such do so. I think that's the case for many of us, or so I hear. As long as the initial bud count is up there that's what I usually go by........Maryl

I like it. I tend to lean to the purple side of black instead of the red side of black. I tip my hat to you.
Every home needs a daylily, and every daylily needs a home.
