Help! My beautiful pink leaf is starting to get spots on it. Am I giving it too much light? I've read that too much light can cause this. There were no spots when I got it. No pests. I've checked. It sits under a grow light most of the day with my other house plants.

Not sure but that's a beautiful plant.

Quick search shows everything from lighting to fungal.

I'd lower the light situation/duration.
What kind are you using, how high above the plants, and for how long?

Dark room or in addition to natural light?

In the meantime, maybe look into fungal infections (wouldn't rule it out) and make sure it's not over-watered.

Good luck!

Could that be caused from water droplets when you're watering the plants? I've noticed my plants with pink leaves are more susceptible to water damage.

It really is a beautiful plant. I've never seen one before

That is actually normal on the all pink leaf, because that leaf is starting to deteriorate and die. Think of the all pink (or any of the pink) portions of a leaf on a Pink Princess as an all WHITE (or largely white) leaf on a green and white variegated plant. NEITHER ONE CAN PHOTOSYNTHESIZE. Only the green portions of the leaves can photosynthesize. If this is your newest leaf on this plant, you need to watch it. If the next 2 leaves emerge all pink, (and I can see the tip of the newest leaf coming out in this photo and it looks suspiciously very very pink) you need to cut the stem back to before the all pink started coming out and let it have a chance to resprout a new lead that may produce leaves that can photosynthesize. If it won;t you will eventually lose this plant
