Hello from Permastake garden marker

I have been air drying plant materials for over 30 years with good success depending on critical timing for each selected choice.
I keep away from silica because I have wondered abut the safety using this crystal material although it is often referred to as a gel, it is more like a sand fly away product.

What are your thoughts?
