Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Diva's Choice')

I have had Diva's Choice since 2018. Love the flower, the plant is not what I would call vigorous. It hasn't increased much. But the front bed has become increasingly overplanted, lots of competition and it gets more shade than it used to. I'll keep an eye out this summer, the magical third year in the ground. If it still isn't doing much, I might have to move it somewhere more friendly.

It looks like you are getting a very nice bloom, though, Zoia. I bought Diva's Choice, but I am not sure if I got the wrong plant, a tissue culture, or it is the growing conditions, but the bloom did not look like the tag.
I get polymerous blooms, too.

Hmm. Valerie, I would venture to say that they sent you the wrong plant. If you look at today's L alphabet thread you'll notice that Gilbert Wild sent me three wrong plants in the L category alone. And one was really, truly mislabeled.

Yes, I agree, Zoia. I think it is the wrong cultivar, too. That has happened to me a few times

Diva's Choice had a decent year this summer. After not blooming at all in 2021, it came back from July 12-22 with 6 blooms. That's not much but twice as many as I've had altogether before. It's a very pretty bloom. I'm not expecting crazy vigor though, at this point.

2023 update…no bloom on Diva's choice again. This seems to be an on again, off again Daylily. Maybe it has to rest between seasons.
