No leaves visible in your lovely photo but I wonder if it might be Desert Globemallow (Sphaeralcea ambigua)

It looks like a Globemallow, Sphaeralcea genus. But there are many species in Arizona and I don't know enough to say which one.

There are around fifteen species of Globemallows recorded in Arizona.

Its definitely Sphaeralcea sp. but there are several and they freely hybridize. I would stick with Sphaeralcea - locally, we call them Flame Checkers. I have several in my front yard. They grow well on old tailings piles and anywhere the soil is garbage (like my yard Hilarious! )

Its really dry here (less than 2 inches since January 1). They only grow in the areas NOT getting any extra water so probably won't grow in Florida, especially this week.

I was watching this thread with interest, because my little orange locals aren't nearly as impressive as Daisy's...those are fantastic. Hadn't thought I had a photo, but just stumbled across this:

This year I got a new cultivar which I didn't expect to see bloom until spring, but it surprised me last week:

I'm look forward to seeing what it does next year.
