Hi,
I planted two shrubs yesterday, mulched them, but chose not to water, because the soil was very moist from the recent rain. However, I forgot to water the root ball before planting.

Today the plants look fine, and the soil around them is still moist, but I don't know if the root ball receives enough moisture.

Should I water them? Is it okay to water close to the plant, basically to water the root ball area? How much water: about 2 gallons per plant?

Thank you very much for your help
