I have been hanging out at another forum for many years where I am a regular poster but I admit I just lurked here for a couple years before getting up the courage to join in the fun. It always seemed too time consuming to go from forum to forum but lots of my friends from there are here. I hope I can join in this group from time to time and make some new friends. I always meant to post my photos to the plantfiles database and procrastinated forever but finally am getting going on that. I wanted to tell you all, especially the hybridizers on here, that I have enjoyed learning and watching. You all convinced me that it was fun to put pollen on daylilies so I went crazy making seeds and now I have too many! Hence why I am selling tons of them in the classifieds.... . I already have an overflowing seedling bed so whenever I can't stop myself from pollinating, I tell myself it isn't hurting anyone. There are worse addictions than playing in the daylily garden all summer! Anyway, thank you for allowing me to join your cozy group. BTW, Char may remember me. Hubby and I visited her a few years back on the motorcycle! I couldn't take any daylilies home but I enjoyed our visit. She may have been the original inspiration for my hybridizing crazies.

Celeste! I am Karen_PA over the Houzz forum. I am glad that you decide to join the forum over here! Sounds like you have also been bitten bad by the hybridizing bug. No worry! You will find many like comrades here. The thing is once you start hybridizing, you can never go back. The addiction will only deepen. But it is so much fun!

Hey Celeste, All that matters is that you are having FUN! This is a hobby that extends life rather than shortens it. Gardening requires lots of physical exercise if you do it right. Daylilies bring out the best in people. For many, many years I was hooked on roses but once I discovered daylilies, the addiction took ahold of me and I'm better off for it. This love of such a wondrous flower has given me such joy. I appreciate your sharing the link to my seeds, Robin. I intend to shower everyone who orders with lots of bonuses so don't be shy to order. I will keep the ad up all winter so no rush. Char, it was meeting you and wandering around your lovely place that cemented in my mind that creating my own seedlings was a wonderful journey to embark on. I still recall how I was horrified that you discarded most of the seedlings when I asked about them! To me they were all so gorgeous I couldn't imagine it. But now I 'get it'.
