holes in my milkweed leaves

I too have big holes in my milkweed leaves and it is not from caterpillars .
Any suggestions ?

Yes indeed, a milkweed with no holes is very sad, the holes in fact are something to be celebrated.

I don't think this question was ever really answered. If you are 100% certain the holes are not from caterpillars, then it could be damage from hail.

I watch mine closely, and they do get damaged or eaten a bit before I can ever find caterpillars or their distinctive eating marks. Hail is one way.
Plant it and they will come.
