Ok guys I'm moving into my new place in a week and I have room for one more rose. My local gardening center just got a shipment of DA roses in. Three of which have been on my wishlist for quite sometime.

The three I'm trying to decide on are Ambridge rose, I love the color and especially what made me want it was Zuzu's comment on how it was a blooming machine! The second choice is Carding Mill, again love the color and I also saw a photo of it on HMF from someone who lives in Southern California and it looked spectacular! The third is boscobel, I love the color and it really is unlike any other Rose I have as far as color goes. I would love to hear anyone's opinion and experience on growing any of these roses. I have all three and my vote is for Ambridge Rose. In my garden, it's the most floriferous and the rose bush itself keeps its shape nicely. The colors of Boscobel's blooms are wonderful, but the rose bush is not as vigorous and has stayed fairly small ever since I planted it three or four years ago. Carding Mill also has growth problems. It seems to be less resistant to pests and disease than most of my other Austins and occasionally loses whole canes to dieback for no apparent reason.

I have Ambridge and Boscobel but have been desiring the unavailable (to me) Carding Mill for a while. I love the colour of Boscobel and it blooms very well for me. It provides that pop of colour among a fairly sedate palette in my rose border. Ambridge is covered in buds and bloom but I feel it fades to a neutral beige fairly quickly. I don't like the look of two different coloured blooms on one bush but most people like the contrast. If you can only have one then I think Ambridge would be best as the colour variation provides more interest.

Either roll the dice and let fate decide, or go for the one that's least like any other rose you already have, thereby standing out more.

I had Ambridge until it reverted back to rootstock. I was a good and healthy rose for me. Lots of flowers during the hotter than Hades summers we have here. I just couldn't stand the smell of the flowers. Not pretty. Smelled like sugar free cherry bubblegum. I didn't like it and my office assistant loved the scent. Each nose is unique.

I appreciate all of your feedback so much! It seems the general consensus is Ambridge! Which I think is what I was leaning towards most anyway. Thank you so much everyone.
