Either spring or fall, when the weather is cool and there's natural rainfall, are the best seasons for transplanting trees. With less environmental stress, your fruit trees will adjust quickly to their new homes, and you can let natural rainfall help settle them in. If the season is dry, be sure to water the trees once each week, thoroughly soaking the entire root mass.
