I had plant wrapped but the leaves still froze. What do I do to help the plant recovery-will it die.

Wait until the weather warms up and then prune back the winter damage. Prune it back to ground level if necessary to remove the frost damage. Bird of Paradise will usually develop new stems and leaves after a harsh winter frost, as long as the roots did not freeze. Let's keep our fingers crossed for your plant!
