My favorite dry bean. A small round white bean that grows in 5-inch pods on a 20-24 inch bushy plant. During the early part of the 20th century, especially during WWI, the US and British navies lived on these little beans. The actual cultivar name is the Michigan Pea bean, but they have always been commonly called Navy beans.
