In my old 1998 catalog from Limerock Ornamental Grasses Inc. that existed in Port Matilda, PA, until 2015, they listed this cultivar as being a new selection with foliage a purple-blue color with a slightly waxy white covering and a stiffly upright habit. Seedheads are burgundy. Gets 4.5 to 5 feet high. Zones 5 to 9. The Growing Place in Naperville, IL says also that it is a very stiff upright grass with metallic blue foliage. It gets a yellow fall color.

Attractive blue foliage works well as a vertical accent. The airy flowers and foliage remain showy into winter, even as the blue color fades. Prune back in late winter. Can be grown in moist to dry soils. Let dry between waterings.
