Plant Height: Dwarf annual growth rate of 2-3 inches. Ultimate height very variable. Some individuals develop apical leaders and achieve a squat pyramidal form. Most develop as low dense mat-like shrubs.

Fruit: Other: Female cones, where present, are borne upright on branches, and are several inches long. Much smaller male cones are reddish brown, ephemeral, and depend from the branches.
