The Brown's Anglo-Japanese Yew is an old cultivar that was used a lot in the 1950's into the 1970's, and it is still sometimes used nowadays, but not so common. It is a dense, rounded form that begins very rounded and can eventually become tall as an upright roundish form. Most people keep it in a sheared round form so it usually appears about 3 to 4 feet high and a little wider. It is a male cultivar with the tiny soft yellowish cones that release lots of pollen in the spring, usually May.
