    Merit is still a competitive yellow in this area. While most folks prefer whites or bi-colors, Merit is the favorite yellow. Folks call it the "silkless" corn because its great feature is the ease of cleaning the ears. It is productive, large uniform ears, with good husk cover. Main season with Golden Bantam flavor. Introduced in 1961.
