    These plants do NOT like "wet feet". I lost one in 3 months due to heavy rains the year it was Spring planted in moderately clay-ridden soil. The area drains quickly, but not quickly enough to save my 2' tall yellow Scotch Broom. Pick an area with no possible drainage issues.
