The best carrot variety I have found for container growing
Comments:

I grew this variety for the first time this year. It grew very well in fairly sandy soil. The taste was mediocre; certainly better than store bought carrots but I think there are many better varieties out there!

A 19th-century variety that I grew in the 40's and 50's. This one and Oxheart were about the only varieties available that would produce in the heavy clay-based soil we had at that time.
