I love this plant for two reasons: 1) the color. It is a vibrant yellow and really stands out in the garden, and 2) it is a very early bloomer. I can expect lots of blooms during March before we leave Florida. The literature says that it doesn't bloom true from seed. I do have some seedlings and I was curious to see how they turned out, but they bloomed a little later than the mother and I missed them, so I will have to wait another year to see what they look like.

This isn't a very good photo, and the only one I got before leaving FL. I fell in love with Desiree and when we visited Ladybug Daylilies on Mother's Day, this was one of my gifts. Perhaps next year after she has settled in I can get better photos.

This plant never fails to give lots of perforations, for which I am grateful.
