[ Begonia Pegasus™ | Posted on April 12, 2018 ]

It's the only Begonia I couldn't kill in my less than perfect (for Begonias) conditions. I'm impressed how strong and tough she is, not to mention vigorous and showy. Easily can make a large specimen plant if given enough space.

Yes, the flowers are fragrant -- lovely sweet aroma reminds me of that of Salvia clevelandii, which I admire. The flowers look very pretty against soft velvety painted foliage. Beautiful plant that performs well for me on the windowsill without any special care or protection, stays compact and spreads rather slowly but stays healthy and blooms well for several weeks now since February. Looks like it's about to produce a few seedpods, which will be totally new for me because my plant is less than 2 y. o.

It's a large-growing and free-blooming Kohleria with bright long-lasting flowers borne in showy clusters. Terrific performer and very undemanding, doing equally well on a windowsill or under lights if given enough space.

[ Basil Mint (Mentha x piperita 'Basil') | Posted on April 10, 2018 ]

Another favorite mint with nice fragrance, dark leaves and strong stems. Spreads well, but never out of control for me. Definitely a keeper.

[ Variegated Ginger Mint (Mentha x gentilis 'Variegata') | Posted on April 10, 2018 ]

It's one of my very favorite mints, the aroma is nice and not too strong, the variegation makes it even better. Vigorous grower and can be invasive but easy to control for me because it's often wanted and asked for.
