Had blooms on new growth for 2023 so I took 1 of 2 short but blooming stems. Its yellow with pale lines as a design on petals. I brought home & planted it with roots & 1 flower at top as last on the stem. I think its dwf. because its only15" tall in flower. In pot on patio for now./ | March 15, 2024: Transplanted (Planted in front of azalea by front door for now out of a small pot) April 29, 2024: Bloomed (1st blooms of 2024 when planted in grown in front of azalea by front door.) |

Saw at Stine a small plant $6 so got it. So pretty& perennial so if I care for it it will get bigger this Summer. Picture taken day I got it 6-4-23. Tag says Bonnie Plant so I read up its a hybrid that does not make seeds. | June 4, 2023: Obtained plant (Bought a Stines $6) March 15, 2024: Bloomed (Original plant trimmed back in Jan. in garage then a 7" cutting from Dec.rooted so I have a new small plant in its own pot. They are both just starting to bloom.) |

May 1 in full bloom green leaves with true clear red flowers on plants that are dwf. so 3'. May 10th I pulled 2 rooted plants of about 5 growing in front yard of Red Cwdar Ln. Came home & planted both in same pot on patio. Some dried seed pods were collected & i soaked about 20 from 2 pods & will pot after a few days of soaking. | May 11, 2023: Obtained plant (Blooming a while since new growth of 2023 appeared. Today I pulled 2 starter plants to bring home & I potted them together . They had large dried seed pods which I opened to get 20 hard seeds. I'm soaking a couple of days & will plant in a pot to start.) May 15, 2023: Plant emerged (I have 4 plants maybe a 5th from seeds) March 15, 2024: Transplanted (Planted the 12" tall clump in the largest barrel pot by white fence. They can take sun & will be colorful there.) April 20, 2024: Bloomed (Only 15" & pretty blue red flowers. I love it!) |

Gardener's swap so happy to have a bloom so fast) March 1, 2024: Transplanted (Original finished blooming & had 2 good size pups so I put all 3 in a smaller pot & under Vitex where did good before. Note I lost one with pink flower without it making pups.) |

This may be right one. In April 2024 I read its a hybrid that doesn't make seeds. I wondered why I hadn't seen those pea like formations. I have rooted in in water from cuttings easy enough. | March 1, 2024: Plant emerged (I cut back leggy growth in Feb. & its starting to send out new growth. In a pot on the patio.) From 206 Red Cedar house. Saw bloom in Nov. & its wonderful. Offering fresh dried seeds Dec. 2022. 20 seeds for $7 includes postage. | December 29, 2022: Obtained plant (Dug today 3'X3' then trimmed a few low branches. 4 days off freezing nipped top. I got about 200 seeds Ill also plant soon.) March 21, 2023: Miscellaneous Event (Plant is lush with so much new growth. On my patio by post for now. Today I cut about a dozen low sprouted new branches & put in water to see if they root . So far a few little plants have sprouted in big pot from seeds that fell. The long pot i put so many seeds in dont have recognizeable sprouts yet) April 12, 2023: Bloomed (Full of flower buds on each tip. Will be beautiful in about 2 weeks. NOTE I found about a dozen 2" sprouts in long pot so potted individual for selling later. This could be a big seller in summer & at Fall plant sale when they are bigger.) April 28, 2023: Bloomed (FOUND 1ST FLOWERS BARELY STARTING TO OPEN THAT BEAUTIFUL DARK BLUE!!! SO MANY MORE SPIRES TO OPEN.) |
