Turned out easy to grow & propagate with a pretty flower that is different | May 30, 2020: Obtained plant (Several tiny plants) June 6, 2020: Potted up (Divided & got 4 baby plants in their own pot.) June 30, 2020: Potted up (2 were ready for 2" pots) August 20, 2020: Bloomed (1st flower on starter plant. Small but deep red with speckles.) Had 1 years ago. Didn't keep their variegation but have unique flower. Shirley offered & I agreed on a nice 2" plant in a trade. It has some edge variegation. | April 30, 2020: Obtained plant May 5, 2020: Potted up (Moved to water wicking) June 1, 2020: Miscellaneous Event (Forming a bud stem) June 20, 2020: Bloomed (1st flower & it's solid dk. purple. Made 4 finished by end of July.) October 15, 2020: Bloomed (Several buds opening) May 20, 2021: Bloomed February 25, 2022: Bloomed (my 1 plant is so pretty & blooming a couple of months now. White edge is pretty & cobalt flowers with yellow pollen really are attractive) May 7, 2022: Bloomed (Small plant blooms solid deep violet flowers regularly) February 1, 2024: Bloomed (original plant got so pretty with white edge on new leaves then flowered into March. I started leaves & got a couple more plants of it & Julie Marie that would be big enough for May sale.) |

A Standard size I grew 4 years ago lost & got new start from my daughter Spring 2018. Makes large white flowers almost year around. | January 1, 2019: Bloomed (My largest 14" plant is blooming well 1-21-19) April 14, 2019: Bloomed (Blooming again.) August 1, 2019: Bloomed (Blooming again) August 15, 2019: Cuttings stuck (3 larger leaves ) October 12, 2019: Plant emerged (Mouse ears on 1) July 25, 2020: Bloomed (Blooming again. Plant has stayed 6" since a cut neck in Winter but flowers faithfully just the same) February 26, 2021: Bloomed (Since Feb.1) March 21, 2022: Bloomed (Plant is now old & with a neck but is blooming nicely) May 26, 2022: Bloomed (Still blooming since March. I got a couple of leafs to root so I will have backups) February 1, 2024: Bloomed (Blooms often & for a long time. I got leaves to root so have a couple that will be right size for May sale.) |
