RED SENTINEL on tag when bought at Master Gardeners Sale about 2010. NOTE in 2022 I noticed how well it coordinates with Tropicana canna February 14, 2021: Winterized (Moved pot into garage for 2-15-21 freeze)
March 15, 2021: Plant emerged (All new growth)
April 6, 2021: Transplanted (Divided in half & put on both sides of crepe myrtle in west of arch bed)
May 25, 2021: Bloomed (East 1 of the 2 has 1st bloom)
April 1, 2022: Bloomed (Never really stopped in Winter covered. I dug small clump not doing as well by crepe m. & potted & its doing very well there.)
April 15, 2024: Bloomed (Plant in ground by crepe near gate. 1st bloom of 2024. A favorite I will pot up soon.)

Name describes it well 'Fruit Cocktail'

My start is from Nancy a La. gardener I trade cuttings with often received Fall 2018. March 3, 2019: Cuttings stuck (Trimmed about five 4" tips & put in pot at base of mama plant to root.)
April 25, 2019: Bloomed (1st flowers of 2019. They haven't sprouted the colorful part yet.)
May 12, 2019: Bloomed (Mother's Day 2019 & first red bract opened on plant so I now have 'fruit cocktail' look.)
June 15, 2019: Potted up (The cuttings I tucked in big mama pot to root March 3 have so I potted 4 plants separately today.)
June 15, 2020: Bloomed
February 15, 2021: Winterized (Covered in 20s freeze & hoping for best)
March 1, 2021: Plant emerged (All new growth)
April 15, 2022: Miscellaneous Event (2 in large pots are full of new growth. I also got many cutting rooted to sale at plant sale May '22)
May 10, 2022: Bloomed (I call blooming when the hot pink calix pop out & they just started)
April 25, 2024: Bloomed (I have 2 pots of it & they are just starting for 2024 on new growth.)

2021 put pot back under 1st lorepetalum. May 10, 2019: Bloomed (Started blooming for 2019)
June 1, 2020: Bloomed
February 15, 2021: Winterized (Covered in 20s freeze & hoping for best)

May 22, 2021: Bloomed (1st of 2021)
April 15, 2022: Miscellaneous Event (Protected over winter & now full of new growth but no flowers yet.)
April 22, 2024: Bloomed (1st bloom of 2024)
May 1, 2024: Bloomed (A pot full with 1st flower)

This picture doesn't match my blooms that are in small racemes like regular honeysuckle. they've been in bloom since Feb & still going strong in a pot on the patio. March 1, 2019: Bloomed (Starting to get more & more orange flowers for 2019)
February 15, 2021: Miscellaneous Event (Freeze nipped only tops )
February 21, 2021: Maintenance performed (Emptied gold urn pot & placed about 12 plants in long pot of soil temporarily)
March 25, 2021: Plant emerged (Looked dead but finally a couple of tiny sprouts out soil at bases.)
April 25, 2024: Miscellaneous Event (Has been blooming since late Jan. I brought in garage when freezing.)
