From DnD Swap - Hammerojustice - 12-2020 From C.P. Fort Worth Texas 12-2020 'Amish Paste' is an old family heirloom tomato from Amish farmers in Medford, Wisconsin. The history of this tomato goes back to the 1870s. Tom Hauch of 'Heirloom Seeds' received the seeds of this beautiful and prolific variety from the Amish who lived near Lancaster in Pennsylvania and shared them with 'Landis Valley Museum' in Lancaster. It was donated to the Germplasm Resources Information Network (GRIN)* in 2010 from the USA (the accession number for this variety is G 33010). 'Amish Paste' is an indeterminate, regular, and wispy leaf tomato plant with an outstanding yield of red, medium to large (4-9oz./120-250g) plum-shaped fruits. It is not the typical paste tomato, fruits are juicier and contain more seeds than most paste-type tomatoes. The flavor is well balanced, with a rich, complex aroma. The first ripe fruits can be enjoyed in the middle of the season, about 78-80 days after transplant. *Germplasm Resource Information Network (GRIN) documents plant, animal, and microbial collections through informational pages and searchable databases. GRIN is operated by the National Germplasm Resources Laboratory in Beltsville, MD, USA. The earliest origins of this tomato are hazy, but it was discovered to be grown by Amish communities in Wisconsin back in the 1870's and has remained in seed production ever since. The tomatoes are deep red and flavorful, with meaty flesh and few seeds. An exceptional tomato for canning and sauces. Red Plum Paste Indeterminate. 74-85 days |

2023 Chicagoland annual plant swap - Ellen Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces good yields over an extended period, of outstandingly beautiful, 2″ long, cherry tomatoes, "blushed," with gold with red coloring. Exceptionally wonderful, well-balanced, tropical fruity flavors reminiscent of pineapple. Flavors are best if harvested when a pink blush starts to appear over the yellow background. Tall vines with the weight of heavy crops will need staking. An elongated, plump, bullet-shaped cherry that is large enough to slice, yet still small enough for snacking out of hand. Radiant golden fruits are drizzled with ruby streaks. Blush came in second place for its intriguingly complex flavor during our in-house tomato tasting. Indeterminate plants produce 2 ½ inch long, 1 ¼ inch wide tomatoes. https://www.tradewindsfruit.co... https://deepharvestfarm.com/pr...
