Escarole type
PKT: "An escarole-type endive, this versatile variety stands out in Italian cuisine and can be served either cooked or freshly picked. Round plants grow 5-8" tall and 12-15" wide and have thick, green to yellow-green leaves that are tightly folded with a toothed margin and taste sweet (not bitter). A variety bearing this name has been shared through the Yearbook Exchange community for decades; this variety was acquired by SSE in 1989 from Nichols Garden Nursery of Oregon."

PKT: "A top notch mustard that's impressive in size, this variety produces thick laves measuring 15-18" long and 9-15" wide that impart a sweet and moderately pungent flavor and a juicy, satisfying crunch. The yellow-green leaves curl and form a small, crispy head. Give this mustard some space--plants grow 16-21" tall and 20-28" wide. 30 days, greens; 50-55 days head"

PKT: "This Siberian kale variety yields compact, low-growing plants with light-green petioles and a dense rosette of smooth, blue-green leaves. Mature plants average 1.5-2" tall and 3-5" wide. When steamed, the leaves have a distinct mustard flavor and taste moderately bitter yet slightly sweet. Its flavor varies a bit from leaf to leaf. This kale was acquired by Seed Savers Exchange from member Lloyd Baum, who obtained it from Pam Baggett of North Carolina via a National Gardening Association seed swap. 55-70 days; baby greens, 30 days."
