Host plant for the Black Swallowtail Butterfly (BST). Even if stripped by the caterpillars, the plant will generally return and produce continued growtht after the cats have left. Drought tolerant.
This is the variety I usually grow. I used to only grow it for the butterflies (and their caterpillars), but since we have two lopped eared bunnies, I grow it and split the parsley between the bunnies and the caterpillars.
I'll be starting "Forest Green" Parsley indoors today, 2021.March.10. I'm in zone 5B, hard by the Canada/US border in Midway, British Columbia.
