I have this shrub growing in my front yard. It's in full sun, year round. It has very tiny flowers mid-spring, and it never loses its leaves. The bottom is woody. I'd like to cut it back if I can without killing it, because it's taking over half of the front of my house.

Thanks so much!

It looks like a May bush. I don't know the technical name. A May bush has tiny white flowers in spring. It can be cut back really hard, probably down two thirds, and will shoot all new growth.
