Afraid my catalpa trees are diseased. - Knowledgebase Question

Sent in this question previously. Now have attached a picture. Hard to see , but the leaves on the trees appear holey and sick. Have had property 3 years-have about 6 catalpa trees- none have ever produced fruit. They are 15 -30 feet tall. Are the trees dying ? Thanks

From this distance, it's impossible to say, but it's likely the holes are caused by "catawba worms".

Whenever you see pollarded Catalpa trees, they are harvesting the worms for fishing bait.

They are the larval stage of this kind of sphinx moth, and only eat Catalpa leaves:
