We tend to have wet cold winters in Arkansas, with an occasional freeze. Snow is rare. This summer has been cooler and wetter than usual, so I don't know what that bodes for winter.

I've only had Kniphofia for a couple of years. The first winter I did nothing, but it capture all sorts of dead leaves and the bottom leaves seemed to turn brown and dry. What is the best way to prepare my plants for winter?
