| Yes, it is a Paulonia tomentosa. In climates where winters are warmer, it will grow normally, as a tree. But it is too cold where you are, and it dies back each winter and grows from the ground each spring. It won't ever flower where you live, but it sure is a fun plant! |

Pardon my ignorance but where is the midwest?
