This spring we dug up a well-established trumpet vine and as many of the roots as we could trace, but are now getting lots of suckers wherever we missed the roots among other plants.

Any advice on purging it completely?

Thanks!

If you are not opposed to using herbicide - I wrote this article using a Virginia Creeper as an experiment. This would work for your trumpet vine. Since you have already removed most of the vine I suggest you get a syringe and give each root a shot. Hope this helps.
