To whom it may concern
I want to plant a small tree in honor of someone which is the best type
As a first time gardener how do I know which plants to choose that will last
And also I have a large bush that is in my front lawn should I cut it down and replace it
Cause it is growing way outside the barriers

The best trees and shrubs are those that are native or adapted to your growing region. You didn't include your zip code so I don't know what part of the country you're living in, and making a recommendation will be difficult. Probably the best solution is for you to visit your local garden center and inspect the trees and shrubs they have on hand - they will carry plants that do well in your local area. Be sure to check the tags attached to the plants or containers to see how large they grow and whether they need sun or shade. Nursery or garden center staff can answer questions specific to the trees and shrubs you have in mind. As for removing the large bush in your front lawn, you can simply cut it down and dig out the roots to remove it completely, or you can try pruning it way back to help control the size. Best wishes with your landscape.

An idea of where you live would be good as well as a photo of the bush you say is outgrowing its space.

What are you looking for in a tree? Something evergreen, with flowers, good fall colour etc?
