We're needing flowering bushes to add color to the landscaping next to the house in back. I would like it to be fairly tall (trellis is ok) and full of color. I have several bougainvilla (sp?) so something different would be nice. It will have full morning sun and shade in the afternoon. Also something that would survive the winter. We keep losing our hybiscus. We're in central Fl.

Some shrubs you might consider include: Rhododendron obtusum (Kurume hybrid azaleas),
Rhododendron simsii (Indian hybrid azaleas), Jasminum nitidum (Shining jasmine),
Loropetalum chinense (Loropetalum), Tabernaemontana divaricata (Crepe jasmine),
Camellia japonica, Datura arborea (Angel's trumpet) and Ternstroemia gymnanthera (Japanese cleyera). All grow well in your gardening region and all will perform well in morning sun/afternoon shade. Enjoy!
